The SFCP Scientific Meetings present new work in, or relevant to, psychoanalytic theory, technique and applied psychoanalysis. SFCP members, visiting psychoanalysts and scholars present recent papers, which are then formally discussed, followed by group discussion with the audience. All SFCP members, candidates, community members and mental health professionals are welcome free of charge. Meetings take place on the second Monday of the month unless otherwise noted.

- describe the psychoanalytic concept and clinical phenomenology of psychic death.
- describe and analyze the symptomatology of patient hunger in psychoanalytic as an indication of childhood psychic death.
- describe psychoanalytic strategies and interventions for patients suffering the consequences of psychic death.
- describe the use of poetry in the development of psychoanalytic empathy, insight and interventions in the treatment of patients suffering the consequences of psychic death and other forms of psychical trauma.
