This course is offered to help students develop ways of thinking and working psychoanalytically to promote depth and emotional contact in their work with their patients regardless of the setting, frequency of meetings, level of disturbance or type of population of their patients.  In the context of a collaborative and supportive environment, we will work with two students’ case presentations as a way to think together about how to listen analytically, work with countertransference and transference, as well as to think practically about how to intervene to deepen the treatment.
