RECOGNITIONS

 

Era A. Loewenstein, PhD, and Rebecca Schwartz, PhD, led on April 23, 2014, a Thoughtful Parenting Workshop: Handling Meltdowns and Other Daily Challenges with Your Young Child. The workshop was offered to parents from Potrero Kids Daniel Webster Preschool and PK3 Preschool as part of the new SFCP’s Child Development Program Initiative to develop Reflective Parenting Groups. The workshop was very well received by the 12 parents who participated.

Mary Brady, PhD, gave the Annual Beata Rank Lecture in Child Analysis at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute on May 14. Her paper was: “Invisibility and Insubstantiality in an Anorexic Adolescent.” 

Charles Fisher, MD, has published The Rangell Reader: Commentaries on and Selected Papers by Leo Rangell, MD, edited by Beth I. Kalish and Charles P. Fisher, MD. It includes commentaries by Phyllis Cath, MD, Charles Fisher, MD, Erik Gann, MD, Harriet Wolfe, MD and others. Published by International Psychoanalytic Books

J. Marc Wallis, LCSW, reviewed the book “Good Enough Endings: Breaks, Interruptions, and Terminations from Contemporary Relational Perspectives". In Psychoanalytic Social Work, 21: 166-170, 2014
