Dr. Steiner is a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist who maintains a private practice in Palo Alto, CA, providing clinical consultation, evaluation and integrated treatment. He is a founding member and the director of the Pegasus Physicians at Stanford, a group of doctors who write creatively. As Professor Emeritus at The Stanford University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, he also teaches Stanford undergraduates, graduate students, and students in the Continuing Studies Program. He maintains an active speaking schedule, traveling both nationally and internationally, and in select cases he has been called on to provide expert forensic consultations.
Dr. Steiner will bring copies of his new book, Your Secret Mind: Getting to Know and Living With Your Unconscious, to the event. This book introduces its reader to the unconscious mind. Readers will be taught how to pay attention to unconscious thoughts, behaviors, and emotions in order to gain significant insight into their motivational unconscious and improve well being.
