THINKING TOGETHER ABOUT RACE & CULTURE:
Reflections

San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis
Auditorium
444 Natoma Street
San Francisco

How do we become a more diverse and inclusive community?

How do we understand the near absence of people of color from our psychoanalytic community?

How do we address the on-going (vs. historic) impact of the social on ourselves and on the people we treat?

Are we able to offer each other, and our communities, conceptual tools to think about and address what is happening on a collective level: racism, economic inequality, misogyny and the “othering” of brown immigrants?

How do we remember and work through our own history regarding the perpetual marginalization of a cultural psychoanalysis?

How do we understand our neglect of dynamics of power in society and psychoanalysis?

We are excited to contribute to the ongoing work underway in our communities by expanding the space to include reflections on the social. Please join us on September 28th for Thinking Together about Race & Culture: Reflections. This program is open to all who are interested.

Registration is appreciated but not required.
