Before turning the podium over to Catherine Mallouh, who will introduce Dr. Eizirik, I’d like to tell you what’s happening here at the Center, and I’d like to do so using some of Claudio’s own ideas to frame what I have to say.

News from the Admissions Committee

by Christina Halsey, Ph.D and Elizabeth Mayer, M.D., Co-Chairs

The Admissions Committee would like all SFCP members, particularly those teaching and supervising prospective applicants, to be aware that we have moved the preferred deadline for applications to January 31 from March 31. This change is in the interest of processing applications in a timely fashion but a less pressured fashion and we hope it will make the experience of applying and of processing applications less hectic. We will continue to process applications submitted later but to be guaranteed consideration for the upcoming fall class applications should be received by January 31.
