The Faculty Committee is pleased to announce our next retreat focusing on the difficult task of holding the Analytic Frame both in the mind of the analyst and in the physical space.  Modeled after our previous retreats, SFCP Faculty will focus on their clinical practice with the intention of generating a lively discussion with the audience.

Course Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  1. Participants will review the history of the clinical frame, and its defining characteristics.
  2. Participants will consider the evolution of the clinical frame in light of the changing social and technological context in which psychotherapy is practiced today.
  3. Participants will be able to recognize how the clinical frame operates simultaneously as a tangible set physical and social arrangements, and as a set of internal psychological structures providing security and boundaries.
