2013 Palo Alto Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program Graduates

ANAT BARKAI, M.F.T.I.
Throughout the two year program, pieces of theories which were passed to us by a variety of enthusiastic instructors, and pieces of rich samples of live cases which we tasted in the case conferences, were combined with valuable supervision, mentoring and personal treatment into a growing mosaic of analytical thoughts.

Every class, supervision, or treatment session enriched the range of personal and professional insights. Even though many of the small pieces of the mosaic are still missing, and even though a deep enriched view of the theories is still a rare and elusive experience, the analytic mosaic has become a permanent growing part of myself.

As an Israeli therapist who recently relocated to the USA, I gained a new understanding of the universality of emotional theories during the two-year program. The idea that all "man cubs" are born with the same emotional needs, materialized. In the core, we are all alike, we share the same emotional needs, and we find the same pathological solutions when things go wrong. Thank you for two wonderful foundation years.

KENT CAMPBELL, M.F.T.
Thank you for the warm welcome into the SFCP community. My colleagues and I have relished the challenges and encouragement from the faculty and supervisors over the last two years. This has been a wonderful introduction to analytic approaches to psychotherapy and a transformative experience, personally and professionally. I am so grateful to see my deeper ways of thinking powerfully impact my work with adults, children, adolescents, and parents through my psychotherapy practice in San Jose. I look forward to continuing connections with the SFCP community, as well as furthering my study and experience of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
