CCSW Mentoring Program

CCSW Mentoring Program:  now accepting applications!
(Click here to download CCSW Mentoring Application Form)

CCSW is pleased to offer a mentoring program for early career social workers interested in learning more about clinical practice and professional development.  Mentors and mentees meet at least once a month during the course of the academic year.  The focus of mentoring varies, and can include case discussion, theoretical and contextual formulations, starting a private practice, agency practice (individual work & organizational dynamics), and career development. All participants in the program are social workers, and share an interest in integrating psychodynamic thinking into their work.

The program consists of monthly individual mentor-mentee meetings from September through June, as well as gatherings in the Fall and in the Spring during which program participants meet as a group.  CCSW hosts 4 clinical discussions a year, which participants in the mentoring program are encouraged to attend.

We are now accepting applications for the 2016-2017 year.  If you are within 5 years of having graduated from an MSW program, are interested in becoming part of the CCSW community and think you might benefit from mentoring, please complete and submit the attached application by August 15, 2016.  We will be accepting a limited number of mentees into the program this year; applicants will be chosen according to their fit with the program as well as the availability of a mentor. All applications that are received by the deadline will be reviewed. All applicants will be contacted by a member of the program committee to answer questions and be notified about the outcome of their application.

Please send your completed application to [email protected].
