CCSW is happy to sponsor a half-day workshop for newly graduated social workers and those in the early stages of their career.  Please join us for an afternoon of reflection and collaborative thinking about social work practice, professional identity and goal development, and about ways psychodynamic theory can enrich our clinical encounters and agency experiences.

The afternoon begins with Patrik Karlsson, LCSW, Director of Social Work Training and Intensive Case Management Services in the Department of Psychiatry at Kaiser in Richmond who will discuss the variety of career paths available to social workers and the diverse work settings within the field. Following the presentation, participants will gather in small discussion groups based on area of practice to facilitate more individualized and detailed conversations about practice challenges, resources, and networking ideas. These groups will be led by Patrik Karlsson, LCSW (Kaiser), Elizabeth Kita, PhD, LCSW (Parole Outpatient Clinic & private practice) & Lindsay Duckles, MSW (Seneca Center). Participants will reconvene and then have a chance to talk in the larger group to close the day.
