Jenessa Radocchio, LCSW received her MSW from Smith College School for Social Work in 2007, and completed 3 years of post-graduate training in depth psychotherapy at The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley. Jenessa has extensive experience with foster youth and juvenile offenders, having worked in multiple community-based clinics in Oakland and San Francisco over the past 15 years. Jenessa is in private practice in Oakland, and provides school-based psychotherapy services in East Oakland at Sobrante Park Elementary School through The Ann Martin Center. In addition to direct service, Jenessa supervises trainees through Crisis Support Services and The Wright Institute, and is on the teaching faculty at The Women’s Therapy Center. She has been with A Home Within since 2011.
Michael Loughran, PhD is graduate, member, and faculty at SFCP. Having taught at UC Berkeley and Smith College in the past, he is currently teaching on the clinical faculty in child psychiatry at Stanford where he also supervises and teaches seminars on the psychoanalytic treatment of children and adolescents, on theories of development, and on psychoanalytic case formulation. Michael treats adolescents and adults in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy in his private practice in Palo Alto, and consults with a number of community clinics and schools.
Participants will be able to
- assess and compare their understanding of the clinical process from different clinical and theoretical perspectives.
- gain skill in identifying the transference/counter-transference process.
- formulate better technical interventions.
The San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity.
PHYSICIANS: The San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.5 credits as listed for each individual program, AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. LCSWs/MFTs: The San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis is a provider approved by the Board of Behavioral Sciences, Provider Number PCE623, for 1.5 CE credits on an hour for hour basis.

Psychologists self-certify the number of hours they have completed on their renewal form (whether online or paper).
